HJ: You are absolutely, undeniably destined to be successful in life. The only caveat is that you must believe it yourself. This is one of the primary spiritual secrets of success. Without this trust and belief that it is hardwired into the very fabric of the universe, you will unconsciously sabotage your efforts. Unfortunately, most people fall into this trap. The fact is that the universe directly responds to your thoughts, beliefs and emotions — it reflects back to you the exact mental picture you project and so if you doubt your ability to be successful (in any endeavor — not just financially), you will create just that.
Whether or not you understand this principle, or rather, universal law, you can still be successful if you believe you can be, however, becoming aware of it makes it easier for you to tap into your natural abundance as you can ‘troubleshoot’ where you might be out of alignment. This is essentially the overall framework of how tapping into your inherent success potential works. First, you understand the larger spiritual secrets of success. Then you can begin to adjust your life, thoughts, beliefs, etc. so they are in line with the natural impetus of life, which is abundance and prosperity.
The truth is that we have been taught to doubt ourselves and believe that we are limited in some way by ‘forces outside of our control’, when in fact we are only limited by our own belief. Ironic, no?
This is truly a gem of an article by Ken Mclean, an individual who truly understands this concept thoroughly and guides you by the hand to understand your true power and capability in this area.

Success

All of us incarnated on earth are physical aspects of an immortal, powerful, and magnificent consciousness that created the universe and everything in it.
It is difficult, sometimes, to keep up your spirits when you look arounmd at the wrold today. But of course ,keeping your spirits up is as simple as looking toward the bright side. The bright side, the positive, is who you are.
There is an idea on planet earth that “what goes up must come down.” Of course this is related to the physical characteristics of our world: the force of gravity (the attractive force) that keeps us comfortably placed upon the surface of the planet. This idea, however, has also been incorrectly applied to how we feel. Observation of life on planet earth tells us that sometimes you will succeed, and sometimes you will fail. But actually, this is a false observation! What is more accurate is to say that you CONCLUDE that you have failed. Here is an example.
Let us say that you are an aspiring comedian. You get a routine together and go to the local standup, where you get a few laughs, but mostly the audience thinks you are pretty boring.
So you have failed, have you not? Of course not!
Here is what really happened:
You came out on stage all fired up and excited. You looked around at the audience and saw that most of the people were not paying much attention. You launched into your first joke and it didn’t immediately get a rousing laugh, so you concluded that you were not that funny. Then you just went through the motions during the rest of your performance.
What happened? Instead of staying with that funny, excited feeling, you concluded falsely that you were not funny, and so you were not. In other words, every single one of your jokes was funny TO YOU. Every time you think of them, it makes you laugh. So why did you not do that on stage? If you had simply communicated that feeling to your audience, they would have laughed right along with you. Maybe they would have laughed at you laughing at your own jokes, but you would have connected with the audience regardless.
It is the same for any endeavor.
The first step to success is finding something you love to do, and then doing it.
The second step is to keep that feeling of excitement all along the road.
You see, dear ones, you cannot fail. But you can conclude that you have failed, and so create a self–fulfilling prophecy. The laws of the universe give you, at all times, what you focus upon. Only you can sabotage your success, and your future.
You don’t believe that? Well, it’s true!
Once you connect with your own creative process, you begin to feel a sense of eagerness, of excitement, and of joy. It does not matter a jot what you DO! I know a woman who likes to quilt. She has, simply by following her desire, created a successful business by creating and selling artistic quilts, as well as conducting classes on quilting. How does this happen? Well, it’s magic! You see, this woman does not think about things like the economy, or ‘what if I fail,’ or ‘what if people won’t like my quilts.’ She does not let the actions of others, in other words, interfere with her own desire to quilt and display her work!
“Yes,” you might say, “but Denise is an artist! I like to quilt too, but no one will look at my stuff.” Well, this is the sort of attitude that causes failure. Personal success has absolutely nothing to do with anyone else. By that is meant that no one can stop you, if you are aligned to what you want. Of COURSE your success is ultimately dependent upon others buying or responding to your services or your products, but when youconnect with you, others will respond!
This formula for success is built into the fabric of the universe itself. Every human being on earth is an aspect of an immortal, powerful consciousness, and all that is necessary for success is for you to express your personal, unique viewpoint, honestly, and openly. When you do that, you are holding up a mirror, reflecting the beauty of Spirit in you to others, and reminding them of who they are. When you connect with you, in other words, you send the powerful energy of love, joy, and connectedness. THAT is the energy that brings inevitable success. And every single human being has that pulsing light source within them, which says:’ You see, here I am, aren’t I magnificent! And so are you! We are all beautiful and blessed!”
Success is guaranteed, dear ones, because all of you are spirits having a temporary physical experience. Like warriors hardened in battle, you recognize your fellow man for a fellow spiritual warrior, battle–tested on the physical playground of life. This generates an unspoken and powerful camaraderie, within each one of you.
All of us on earth are like lovers! By this we mean that you have all decided to come down to earth to help the human race in its advancement toward the Light, and that shared goal is so powerful it unites each and every one of you. Like lovers, you share a common bond that is unbreakable.
The key to reminding others of their divinity, and of your connection with them and Spirit, is simply to find a desire and express it fully.
And the only thing that can hold you back from that is your own fear of unworthiness. But this fear is so trivial and impotent in comparison with your shared magnificence that success is inevitable for each and every one of us if we will only begin to do the things we love to do in life!
Is this pie–in–the–sky wishful thinking! It is not! It is universal truth. So many of us try this and that for a little while, and then give up, usually because we “cant make money at it.” Well, what is money but a representation of how well you express yourself.
Look around at successful people. You will find in each and every case that the most self–expressed persons are the happiest ones. And they are just as abundant as suits them. The unhappy ones are the ones scrambling and struggling, trying to get rich from a feeling of lack, but this cannot happen, as you know.
The person who is self–expressed will succeed. It is as simple as that.
The message this month is to look inside yourself for that desire that lights you up. That is the key to success. Do not worry about the economy, or what others think or say or do, for these will just put rocks in the road of your creative train. The engine that drives that train down the tracks is your desire.
Your success is guaranteed if you will simply find a desire and express it. This may lead in many different directions as you grow and expand, but your personal expansion must begin with personal self–expression. So get to it!
