Occupy Berkeley is marching for free public education. In the Sixties, we called this “universal accessibility.” I recall hearing that one of my soccer buddies was unable to go to university because he could not pay the fees. I was shocked.
From the 60s onward, the cost of education skyrocketed, until now many students in developed countries cannot possibly afford to pay the fees, unless they go into more debt than I thought possible. So add universal accessibility to the issues, to assist the reporters who like things tight and bright. Video by Kynthia. Thanks to John. Kynthia’s website is http://www.kynthia.net
